Transitional Styling with BonPrix
One of my favourite style challenges is working out how I can keep wearing my favourite outfits throughout all the different seasons. This may sound like an unnecessary chore, but given the fickleness of the British weather system, it makes life much easier to simply layer things up or down as appropriate. On top of that, I'm not made of money, so investing in a new wardrobe every season would bankrupt me pretty quickly!
The dress I'm styling today is one of my favourite recent purchases, which I wore frequently over the summer months. Not content with ‘putting it to bed’ till next year, I jumped at the opportunity to work with BonPrix to demonstrate how I would style this dress using their latest collections in order to wear it throughout the autumn and winter months too.
First up is an example of how this dress could be styled during the warmer months of the year. Here I've teamed it with some suede look brogues and a quilted shoulder bag - elegant summer dressing that keeps you both cool and comfortable.
As the weather starts to turn and the cooler air starts to move in, I've added a leather look jacket to keep you warm, not sweltering, a pair of black opaques to substitute bare legs, classic black ankle boots and a chain handle shopper tote.
Finally for full-proof winter wear I've broken out the coat, in the form of this dark green cotton trench. I've also added a pair of knee-high suede boots, a slouch beanie hat, printed scarf and a black satchel bag.
BonPrix’s new TV campaign launches today, where they encourage you to make your own style and ‘Wear it Your Way’. This couldn't ring more true for me when I think about how I prefer to recycle clothing instead of assigning it to a particular season and ignoring it for the remainder of the year.
