To See, or Not to See...
Alongside writing my own blog, one of my favourite pastimes is reading other people’s blogs. My ‘it’ blog of the moment is MyFashDiary.com, written by the ever-so-stylish Tala Samman. This is a girl who was born with style-icon DNA, her mother Lina Samman is the face of Nina Ricci in the Middle East, so it’s clear she knows what she’s talking about.
I was browsing during lunch yesterday and spotted her post featuring her outfit picks from theOutnet’s party pieces collection. I was instantly drawn to the gold See by Chloe skirt she was wearing in one of her outfit photos. A couple of clicks later I arrived on theOutnet.com, not concerned with spending loads of money as there is no way they would have it in my size... but of course they did... eeekk
I can’t explain what happened next, it was an out-of-body experience, think Sophie Kinsella’s shopaholic character Becky Bloomwood. One minute I was quietly browsing the web and enjoying my lunch, the next thing I know I’m pulling out my credit card and entering my details into theOutnet’s payment window. Due to a fault with the website I actually managed to order the skirt three times and had to organise cancelling the two I didn’t want! But the long-term result is the same; my fabulous new skirt is winging its way to me (in 1-2 working days) and I can’t wait to try it on!
I haven’t decided what to wear it with as yet, but I love the grey t-shirt Tala has on with it, so I might try to find something similar. Another purchase required... what a shame :)
