Creating a Wedding Album

Just Married!

It's been nearly four years since Darren and I tied the proverbial knot in August 2010. Given that timeframe you'd be forgiven for thinking that I would have had plenty of opportunities to create a wedding album, but it's the one job that I've yet to get round to doing.

Finding the Perfect Dress

Trends are constantly evolving yet many will instantly dismiss such trends due to fears of not suiting the attire at stake. However, the more we see these trends - be it on the runway, on a friend or draped across the torso of a passer-by - the more we want to try out such styles for ourselves.

However, there are a few rules to consider when it comes to finding the perfect dress.

Always a Bridesmaid...

Just Married!

This month marks the end of an era for me, in more ways than one. Not only am I turning 30 at the beginning of June, but I'm also wrapping up my second career as a professional bridesmaid/maid of honour (I know I should really be a ‘matron of honour’ as I'm married, but I’d like to avoid any association to the word ‘matron’ this close to my 30th birthday).

A Second Anniversary

Posing and Keeping Cool!

I’m not an overly sentimental person as a rule; which is why the subject of today’s post is an unusual choice for me. Today is my husband and mine’s second wedding anniversary. We were married on the 21st August 2010 at Bailbrook House in Batheaston. The two years have certainly flown by and I’ve enjoyed every minute of my married life so far. To mark this special occasion I’ve chosen some of my favourite photographs from our wedding to share with you.

The Wedding Phase

Phase Eight - Arabella Twist Front Maxi Dress

Phase Eight and weddings outfits… two things that go together like Carrie and Big, for me at least. This year I’m attending five weddings and for three out of the five, I will be wearing/have worn a Phase Eight dress.

Up until 2010, Phase Eight was a shop I’d never ventured into. This all changed when I went shopping with my Mum for her ‘mother-of-the-bride’ outfit for my wedding. She chose a dress, jacket, fascinator, jewellery… in fact, her entire outfit down to her shoes came from Phase Eight. Having spent well over an hour ambling around the Bath store selecting items for my Mum to try on, the occasional distraction was almost inevitable. While waiting outside the changing rooms I couldn’t help but pick out a beautiful chiffon floral print dress to try on. Ten minutes later, I’d made my first ever purchase.
